The Stonehenge community of Mbombela pledges to clean up the suburbs

In an attempt to spruce up the Stonehenge area, members of the community, aided by ACS Security, came together to clean up the suburb on Saturday July 30.

Community activist and DA councilor Thea Rix said residents of Stonehenge had recently elected a committee with the aim of beautifying the area, and the first port of call was to clear the streets of rubbish, rubbish and rubbish. garbage.

“The committee was so wonderful. They created flyers and shared them on social media. They were outstanding,” Rix said.

She said the cleanup started just after 8 a.m. Saturday at the corner of Percy Fitzpatrick Drive and Van Rooyen Street.

“Everyone got to work. Some residents asked if they could help by cleaning up their own streets, which they did. The whole cleaning effort has made such a difference. Around 90% of the streets in Stonehenge have been cleared.

“Everyone worked very hard and ACS Security was also involved and helped until the end.”
Rix said everyone decided to call it a day at 12:00 p.m.
