In the Kherson region, invaders kidnap the head of the Chorobaivka community, his deputy

In the Kherson region of southern Ukraine, Russian invaders kidnapped the head of the territorial community of Chornobivka and his deputy.

It was announced on Facebook by the deputy chairman of the Kherson district council, Stanislav Troshyn, reports Ukrinform.

“The chairman and deputy chairman of the legendary territorial community of Chornobayivka in the Kherson district were kidnapped. With both of them, we have been in constant contact in efforts to restore the electricity supply to residential buildings affected by the strikes,” Troshyn said.

According to the official, the fate remains uncertain of the mayor of Hola Prystan, Oleksandr Babych, the deputy of the city council of Novokakhovka, Ihor Protokovyl, and many activists, mayors, deputies and heads of local authorities.

In turn, the wife of the deputy head of the Chornobaivka TC posted on Facebook that on May 2, her husband Yevgeny Rodionov was taken prisoner by the Russian army. His whereabouts remain unknown.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian invaders are kidnapping civilians in the Kherson region, including journalists, community leaders, MPs, activists and military personnel who had taken part in the anti-terrorist operation in Donbass. The International Committee of the Red Cross calls for the deployment of its representatives to provide humanitarian assistance to civilians illegally detained in the Kherson region, locate them and release them as soon as possible.
