BNP obtains funds from foreign countries to launch an anti-government movement

The BNP receives funds from foreign countries to launch movements against the government, Awami League Secretary General Obaidul Quader said on Saturday.

He also mentioned that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir receives money from Dubai, so he is very active these days.

He was speaking at the Dhaka District Awami League Triennial Conference in the capital’s Sher-E-Bangla Nagar district on Saturday.

He added, “Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is lying on a bed made of silver, and it comes from other countries on behalf of their conference.”

The Minister also asked the participants of the rally: “Do you know why the BNP is doing so much? Because they know they would lose in the national polls if they faced Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“It’s not a game of money, it’s a game against vote rigging, against corruption,” he added.

Later, he called Mirza Fakhrul to watch the Awami League conference on TV and said, “Watch your rally and watch ours in Dhaka. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is not even there. There will be a one million people gathering in the Chittagong Polo Ground as the Prime Minister will attend the event.
